This story comes from Star Magazine, so whether it’s true or not is up to debate. Star is reporting that bossy mom of multiples Kate Gosselin, 35, received a letter from Hugh Hefner offering her $400,000 to pose nude in Playboy. Kate is said to have put the letter in a drawer and to have been mortified about it, resigning herself never to pose nude for the sake of her eight children. Are you kidding? This woman has staged several bikini photo shoots for the paparazzi. She probably looks at the letter several times a day and gloats to herself that she’s cute enough for Playboy.

Kate Gosselin’s eight kids already think she’s a great playmate - just not the kind Hugh Hefner has in mind! According to an insider, the reality mom turned down $400,000 to appear in Playboy. “Hugh sent her a letter, but Kate was totally mortified and threw it away! She didn’t think it was appropriate because of the children.” Still, Kate has no problem showing off her body, adds the insider. “She’s proud of the way she looks.”

Playboy has had covers featuring lesser-known and much-derided reality stars like Aubrey O’Day and Heidi Montag. Even if this story is fabricated, I’m pretty sure they would welcome a nude spread with Kate Gosselin. She’s not all that, but plenty of people would buy it just to get a chance to see her naked. She wouldn’t even have to show much - Heidi Montag wore a bra or bikini top in her spread and didn’t even show her boobs.

In this same issue Star has a slightly more juicy story about Kate Gosselin exacting revenge on her carousing estranged husband. They say that she’s planning on taking him to the cleaners in their divorce and that she’s mighty upset about the way he’s been wasting money on the many women he’s dating. Their source says “Kate is so upset and disgusted over Jon’s cavalier ’single guy’ behavior - and the money he’s been wasting to fund it - that she’d leave hmi without a penny, barefoot and homeless on the street if she could… Their divorce is just weeks away from being finalized, so she’s prepared to do all she can to insure she gets most, if not all, of the millions that are at stake.”

There’s plenty of evidence that Jon is happy to spend money as fast as he can manage and that he’ll jump on any woman that will have him. He’s said to have bought multiple rounds of shots for all the women stupidly flocking around him during his stint partying in Vegas earlier this week. He also is said to have been “handing out his number to every girl that approached him.” All of that bad behavior is going to cost Jon quite a bit of money in his divorce settlement. I wonder if he’ll think it was worth it in the end.
