Julie Benz & Rich Orosco Got Hitched!

Back in June of last year, after a four year courtship, we learned that actress Julie Benz got herself engaged to be married to her longtime beau Rich Orosco. Yesterday, the pair said their I Dos and got themselves hitched here in SoCal. Julie, as you should be WELL aware, played Darla the vampire on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as well as Rita Morgan on Dexter (among other fabulous TV and movie roles) … so I’ve got MAD love for the lady. Julie‘s former Buffyverse co-star and real life BFF Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase on BtVS and Angel) was in attendance at Julie and Rich‘s wedding (actually, I think she was IN the wedding) and she posted a few photos from yesterday’s nuptials to her official Twitter profile. Former Dexter actress Julie Benz is officially off the market! The 40-year-old actress — who most recently appeared on TV’s A Gifted Man — swapped vows with her marketing executive beau of four years, Rich Orosco, on Saturday, Us Weekly can confirm. Accepting Orosco’s proposal — and an $80,000, 3-carat Kwiat engagement ring — in June 2011, Benz was treated to a “pop-up Mexican fiesta” to celebrate her engagement. “I can’t believe that none of my friends leaked the surprise,” Benz told Us after Orosoco arranged for nearly 60 of their closest friends and family to meet at their home, along with a Mariachi band. “It was like a Navy Seal operation.”

At this point, there aren’t very many details about the wedding ceremony but I’m sure that Julie and Rich will share the details they want to when the time is right. As you can see in the photos above, Julie‘s Dexter co-star and another real life BFF Jaime Murray (Dexter season 2) was also in attendance and possibly in the wedding as well. I can’t be sure but it *looks* like Charisma is posing with another Buffyverse actress, Clare Kramer (Glory from BtVS), in the last photo … so it’s possible that Julie‘s entire wedding party was made up of Buffyverse alums! OMG. Looks like a fantastic wedding Let’s send our love and congrats to Julie and Rich on their happy new life together. Mazel!
