What? You didn’t know it was Bastille Day, the day we celebrate French liberation and culture? It’s okay; I found out on Fashionista. And then Trent Facebook‘d it and I realized we should totally be celebrating over here at PITNB! I’ve found lots of excuses to blog about my love for French film– Boston’s having a French Film festival, Diane Kruger is playing Marie Antoinette, and Marion Cotillard is on, like, every magazine cover next month. And now we have Bastille Day! Check out some amazing new clips and trailers from upcoming French films with all your fave French actresses. Ok, they’re my faves but I think you’ll like them too
1. Audrey Tautou in Thérèse Desqueyroux
This film closed the 2012 Cannes Film Festival; expect good things. Oh, and the second clip? Pretty intense storyline unfolding!
2. Juliette Binoche in Another Woman’s Life
Binoche plays a woman who wakes up one day, having forgotten the past 10 years. It looks and sounds like a crazy, beautiful love story.
3. Marion Cotillard in Rust And Bone
I shared this one on my Marion Cotillard Vogue post the other day. It bears repeating.
Merci beaucoup France, for inventing the movies… among other things
