Even though she’s in the hospital, 77-year-old screen legend Elizabeth Taylor has had no trouble keeping herself busy.
By tweeting!
Taylor has grown quite fond of Twitter while in the hospital for a “routine visit” this week and according to her spokesman, Dick Guttman, she’s “fallen in love” with the site!
Aww.
Some typical tweets from the Grand Dame herself:
“It’s not true that I love animals more than people — they are a very close second.”
“I’ve never been double-crossed by a sweet puppy or a lion in the jungle.”
“Just saw Twilight on DVD. I want more!”
Love it!
Keep on tweetin’, Elizabeth!

Dearest Elizabeth–I wish you the best. I live in Seattle with my pug “Winston” who is 14 yrs. young. I think I have seen every movie you have made and I have your picture on my wall. You are an inspiration for me as you are a survivor. I wish with all my heart to shake your hand. Charles Armontrout
Ms. Taylor, I have loved you my all my life. You were stunning in each & every one of your pictures. I have 8 cats & I agree with you about people.
Congratulations Dame Elizabeth Taylor
for getting on Twitter!
I’m about 5 yrs older than you are but when me & my little friends used to play
“pretend” I would be Shirley Temple & they’d be - you know - Judy Garland,
perhaps, even tho she was “older”. When you came along there were arguments over which of us would be you. Seemed I was always the oldest so the group, so I stuck with Shirley. Because I have blondish brown hair was the argument. Ha
Thought you’d get a kick out of hearing another way of how popular you’ve always been.
Still love ya, still love Shirley.

Ms. Taylor you are one remarkable woman. I could only wish that most movie stars had your type of humanitarian care for so many. You are loved and I’m sure thought of so often by millions of people. We love you Elizabeth and that’s something I guess you will have to live with (just a little joke).
